Mustang Arched Recessed Panel Cabinet Door
Overview
The Mustang is a recessed-panel cabinet door with a soft arch across the top rail. It is 2 inches on the stiles and bottom rail, 3-1/2 inches at the largest point of the arch, and 2 inches at the smallest point at the top of the arch. Measurements are taken from the backside!. The arch adds shape while the flat panel keeps the door simple.
A 1/4" is added to all framing measurements if you select a Glass-Ready or a French Lite door.
Design details
The arch gives the Mustang a defined top and bottom, and it works best on upper cabinets where the curve sits at eye level. The 2-inch framing keeps proportions balanced even on small doors. Pair it with square-framed flat-panel doors below for a classic arrangement at a lower cost than raised-panel equivalents.
Wood species & finishes
The flat recessed panel shows grain across a clean surface. Choose from 25 species and cuts, including Maple, Alder, Cherry, Walnut, and Red and White Oak with quarter- and rift-sawn options. For a painted kitchen, specify the MDF panel with maple paint-grade frame. Every Mustang is made to order in your exact dimensions to fit your existing cabinets.
