Overview
The ready-to-assemble 4-Drawer Base Cabinet trades depth of drawer for number of them. Four across the height of the cabinet, which suits cutlery, utensils and packet goods better than two deep drawers do.
Sizing and fit
Width runs from 9 1/4 to 42 inches, height from 30 to 48 inches, and depth from 12 to 30 inches, all in quarter inch steps. The height starts at 30 inches because four drawers need the room to be worth having.
Drawer layout is a choice at the point of order: a 6 inch top drawer with equal drawers below, equal heights throughout, or a staggered split. The listed price covers a cabinet 9 1/4 inches wide, 34 3/4 inches high and 24 3/4 inches deep.
Construction and materials
The case is 3/4 inch PureBond plywood faced in maple or birch veneer with a clear UV finish, or melamine where cost matters more than the interior finish. Edges are banded in PVC, wood tape or special material, 63 finishes in total.
Drawer boxes come in white melamine, or dovetailed in poplar, red oak, maple, walnut or white oak. Finished end panels are available on either side as a flat veneer panel or a faux cap. Toe kicks come recessed, flush, or omitted, with a matching toe kick in 11 wood species. Fronts come from the same catalogue of 121 styles as our replacement doors. Slides are Blum.
