Overview
The ready-to-assemble 2-Door Wall Cabinet is the standard upper: two doors, adjustable shelves, and a case cut to the run you actually have rather than the run a catalogue assumes.
Sizing and fit
Width runs from 22 to 48 inches in quarter inch steps, and depth from 6 to 30 inches, also in quarter inch steps. Height runs from 11 1/2 to 60 inches. Depth is the dimension worth thinking hardest about on an upper, because every inch you take off gives back head room over a worktop.
The listed price covers a cabinet 22 inches wide, 30 3/4 inches high and 12 3/4 inches deep. Above that you are paying for the extra size and nothing else.
Construction and materials
The case is 3/4 inch PureBond plywood faced in maple or birch veneer with a clear UV finish, or melamine where the interior will not be seen. Shelves are adjustable as standard, fixed for extra rigidity, or left out. Edges are banded in PVC, wood tape or special material, 63 finishes in total.
The underside of a wall cabinet is permanently in view, so a finished panel is available for the bottom as well as for the left and right sides. If the cabinet is for display rather than storage, specify a glass ready frame at no extra charge, or a French 4 lite or 6 lite frame. Glass is not supplied. Doors come from the same catalogue of 121 styles as our replacement doors, so a new box matches an existing kitchen. Hinges are Blum.
