Overview
The ready-to-assemble 1-Door 1-Drawer Blind Corner Base Cabinet solves the corner and adds a drawer across the reachable part of it. Part of the cabinet sits behind the adjoining run and is reached past it, which is the part called blind, and an integrated filler keeps the two runs clear of each other.
Sizing and fit
Width runs from 36 to 52 inches, height from 16 to 48 inches, and depth from 12 to 30 inches, all in quarter inch steps. The blind width is set separately from 12 to 30 inches, and you choose which side is blind when you order.
The drawer sits over the reachable section rather than the blind one, so the blind width decides how much drawer you get as well as how much cupboard. The listed price covers a cabinet 36 inches wide, 34 1/2 inches high and 24 3/4 inches deep.
Construction and materials
The case is 3/4 inch PureBond plywood faced in maple or birch veneer with a clear UV finish, or melamine where the interior will not be seen. Shelves are adjustable as standard, fixed for extra rigidity, or left out. Edges are banded in PVC, wood tape or special material, 63 finishes in total.
Drawer boxes come in white melamine, or dovetailed in poplar, red oak, maple, walnut or white oak. Finished end panels are available on either side as a flat veneer panel or a faux cap. Toe kicks come recessed, flush, or omitted, with a matching toe kick in 11 wood species. Doors come from the same catalogue of 121 styles as our replacement doors, so a new box matches an existing kitchen. Slides and hinges are Blum.
