Overview
The ready-to-assemble 1-Door 1-Drawer Base Cabinet puts a drawer where you reach first and a cupboard underneath it. In a narrow run it is often the only cabinet that earns its width twice over.
Sizing and fit
Width runs from 9 to 24 inches, height from 22 to 48 inches, and depth from 6 to 30 inches, all in quarter inch steps. The height range matters more here than on a plain cupboard, because the drawer has to sit above the door without either becoming useless.
The listed price covers a cabinet 9 inches wide, 34 3/4 inches high and 24 inches deep. Hinges are bored left or right, or left unbored if you would rather drill on site.
Construction and materials
The case is 3/4 inch PureBond plywood faced in maple or birch veneer with a clear UV finish, or melamine where the interior will not be seen. Shelves are adjustable as standard, fixed for extra rigidity, or left out. Edges are banded in PVC, wood tape or special material, 63 finishes in total.
Drawer boxes come in white melamine, or dovetailed in poplar, red oak, maple, walnut or white oak. Finished end panels are available on either side as a flat veneer panel or a faux cap. Toe kicks come recessed, flush, or omitted, with a matching toe kick in 11 wood species. Doors come from the same catalogue of 121 styles as our replacement doors, so a new box matches an existing kitchen. Slides and hinges are Blum.
