Overview
The ready-to-assemble 2-Door Corner Wall Cabinet turns the corner where two runs of uppers meet. A corner is the hardest part of any room to use well, and this is the cabinet that recovers the space rather than blanking it off. It is also the one box in the range that is not specified by width and depth.
Sizing and fit
Because each face of a corner cabinet meets a different wall, this box is sized by side return: the distance from the inside corner out along each wall to the face of the cabinet. Left and right returns run from 20 to 36 inches and are set independently, so the cabinet can sit in an asymmetric corner without forcing either run to compromise around it.
Side depth runs from 10 to 16 inches per side, again set independently, and height from 12 to 60 inches. Measure both walls before ordering, because the two returns rarely want to be the same number, and a corner that is not quite square is the normal case. The listed price covers returns up to 27 3/4 inches, a height up to 30 3/4 inches and the full 16 inch side depth.
Construction and materials
The case is 3/4 inch PureBond plywood faced in maple or birch veneer with a clear UV finish, or melamine where the interior will not be seen. Shelves are adjustable as standard, fixed for extra rigidity, or left out. Edges are banded in PVC, wood tape or special material, 63 finishes in total.
A corner cabinet has more surface on show than one buried in a run, so finished panels are available on the left, the right and the underside. Doors are hinged left or right to your order, and come from the same catalogue of 121 styles as our replacement doors. Hinges are Blum.
