Overview

The ready-to-assemble Corner Base Cabinet turns a corner and puts a wood lazy susan inside it. A corner base is the least usable cabinet in any run unless something brings the back of it to you, which is exactly what the turntable does.

Sizing and fit

This one has a fixed footprint: 36 inches wide and 24 inches deep, because the lazy susan inside it is a fixed diameter. What you do choose is the height, from 26 to 36 inches in quarter inch steps, and the side returns, from 20 to 26 inches each in quarter inch steps.

The side return is the distance from the inside corner out along each wall to the face of the cabinet, and the two are set independently, so an asymmetric corner does not force the runs either side to compromise. The listed price covers a cabinet 34 3/4 inches high.

Construction and materials

The case is 3/4 inch PureBond plywood faced in maple or birch veneer with a clear UV finish, or melamine where cost matters more than the interior finish. Edges are banded in PVC, wood tape or special material, 63 finishes in total.

Doors are hinged left or right to your order. Finished end panels are available on either side as a flat veneer panel or a faux cap. Toe kicks come recessed, flush, or omitted, with a matching toe kick in 11 wood species. Doors come from the same catalogue of 121 styles as our replacement doors, so a new box matches an existing kitchen. Hinges are Blum.
