Overview

The Shaker is a recessed-panel cabinet door with a plain, flat panel and a simple square frame, the clean lines that make it one of the most recognizable cabinet styles.

Design details

The Shaker keeps everything understated, a flat recessed panel set inside a plain frame with no additional edge detailing or molding. That simplicity is exactly what makes it so adaptable, working equally well in farmhouse, transitional, and modern kitchens. The frame is symmetrical, with equal rails and no defined top or bottom, so it orders and installs consistently across a full run of cabinets.

Wood species & finishes

A flat, undecorated panel puts the wood grain or paint color front and center, so the Shaker works with almost any finish. Choose from a wide range of species and cuts, including Alder, Cherry, Maple, Pecan-Hickory, Walnut, and Red and White Oak, or the MDF panel with maple paint-grade frame for a painted finish. Every Shaker is made to order in your exact dimensions to fit your existing cabinets.

• The center panel is placed approximately 3/8" from the face of the frame. You would want to order the Arcadia to have the panel placed 1/4" from the face of the frame.
• 2.25" standard stiles and rails.
• Unless requested by note, a center rail is added at 50" and above.
• At 36" and above, a center bore will be added (if you select boring).
• The minimum dimensions are 7.5" x 7.5" and a maximum of 30" x 72"
• The minimum height for boring is 8.75 inches tall.
• Selecting non-standard stiles and rails may require a larger minimum size for the door.
• Doors over 26" wide or 70" tall do not come with a warranty.
